Parks Concierge –
Reservations / Upgrade(s)
For birthdays, company picnics, family reunions, or any other celebration where
you want to enjoy the beauty and the weather of the great outdoors, Valparaiso’s
bountiful parks system offers the perfect shelter to meet your group’s needs.
And, in addition to the shelter in your park of choice, the Valparaiso Parks
Department is pleased to offer the services of a dedicated Park’s Concierge to
help you plan your special event!
Book your 2009 shelter reservations early. Shelter reservations will begin on
January 5, 2009. Contact the Parks Office at (219) 462-5144.
Facility Reservation Packages
Packages provide everything customers need right at their shelters. Customers
can upgrade to packages at any time, even after booking the shelter.
Let us do the work and you have the fun. Packages begin at $65.

A la Carte Rentals available with Shelter Rental
(Available Memorial Day to Labor Day only)
Each fun pack includes volleyball and net, 4 badminton
rackets, 6 birdies, croquet set, horseshoe set, bean bag set, football, soccer ball,
playground ball, 12 cones, or discs (depending on location of picnic), family fun
activity idea book, delivery, setup, takedown, and return. Customers need to
pick them up at the Park Store in Rogers-Lakewood Park and return the items
during business hours.
Other a la carte items include prepaid paddle boat, row boat, and gate passes at
Rogers-Lakewood Park. All items must be purchased at least two weeks prior to
your reservation date.
Field rentals also available. Fields and fees vary. Contact the Park Office for
field information/availability.
Each shelter comes with a set number of picnic tables (as indicated in the popup
page). Tables seat approximately 8-10 persons. Additional picnic tables available
in sets of 4 for $40 (at any park including Rogers-Lakewood) and 2 for $25 (at Rogers-Lakewood
Park only). (Must be reserved and paid for in advance).
