Rogers-Lakewood Park
The Pristine Pleasures of Rogers-Lakewood Park...
The 122-acre park is one of Valparaiso’s premier facilities with activities that
include hiking, fishing, and boating. Rogers-Lakewood Park is also
home to the area’s disc golf course, Flounder Skate Park, Discovery Day Camps,
and Discovery Teams course. Plan your next family or neighborhood event at
Rogers-Lakewood Park.
Look for additional Rogers-Lakewood Programs throughout the summer!
Amy Pendowski, a mother of three, became a “regular” at Rogers-Lakewood when her
oldest enrolled at Discovery Day Camp during the summer months. “When both parents
work and school is finished for the year, you want to be sure that your child is
in a safe, stimulating, and fun environment,” commented Pendowski. “Discovery Day
Camp at Rogers-Lakewood was the answer, where my son made new friends, explored
new interests, and gave me the peace-of-mind knowing that he was in good hands.”
Like many Discovery Day Camp parents, the opportunity to get to know Rogers-Lakewood
Park soon turned from a necessity into a regular pastime destination. Whether your
passion is hiking, biking, fishing, boating, picnicking, or simply catching a few
rays in the sunshine, Rogers-Lakewood provides something for every member of the
family.
For the sports enthusiasts, Rogers-Lakewood
is home to the area’s only disc golf course. For the X-treme sports crowd, Flounder Skate Park is the place to grab your board, skates, or bike and practice your skills.
And, for teambuilding exercises for corporations and other groups, the TeamWorks
program can be customized to meet your needs. Also there is the Lakewood Link, a 2-mile foot/bike path that enters Rogers-Lakewood just south
of the main vehicular entrance. There is no charge through this entry. Unless entering on the "Link" all vehicles pay the seasonal
entry fee.
Consider Rogers-Lakewood Park for your
next family or group gathering. Rent a shelter, stop by the Lakewood Park Store
(open weather permitting) to buy supplies, and enjoy a day away. Be sure to come
back to Rogers-Lakewood Park in the fall for tractor-drawn hay rides and fun alongside
a glowing campfire.

There are a total of seven shelters located at Rogers-Lakewood Park: 1.
