Jessee-Pifer Park
Jessee-Pifer Park is 2.3 acre parcel and is truly a neighborhood
park, being landlocked
by the city block bordered by Weston, Elmhurst, and Madison Streets (take Park Ave.
west from Campbell Street to Elmhurst). There is an identifying sign near the sidewalk
that accesses the park from Elmhurst. There is playground equipment and some open
space at this park. All parking is on a city street.
The shelter (shown right) will accommodate approximately
40-50 persons and has restrooms located in it. The reservation fee of $70
(or $60 resident discount fee) can be paid by cash, check or credit card and made
in person or by phone at the Park Administrative Office. Shelter fees are non-refundable
and are due in full when the reservation is made. Click here to register...
Your
shelter reservation ensures a clean, safe facility protected from extreme heat and
rain. Six picnic tables are provided for your private use; additional picnic
tables can be reserved (4 for $40 + tax). All shelters are equipped with 20 amp
electrical service. A "half barrel" grill can be rented for $15 plus tax. Recycle
bags are provided as well as garbage receptacles. Volleyball standards are available
at each park for use by all park visitors. Moonwalks, dunktanks, tents, canopies
and amplified music are prohibited.
