Old Fairgrounds Park
The Butterfield Family Pavilion (shown left) is
centrally located at the Old Fairgrounds Park on Evans/Calumet Avenues in Valparaiso.
This is a seasonal 5,000 square foot building which was the original 4-H building
for the county fairs once held here. Keeping with the historical flavor of the building,
the original interior and elegance remains but with the added amenities of handicap
accessible restrooms, a warming kitchen and public address system.
This building is a great place to have your group conference, wedding reception,
open house, shower or large party. Reservations are taken for the current and following
year, with accommodations available for 50 to 250
persons. Tables and chairs are
provided and set up is done by park maintenance personnel.
Reservation fees vary
according to City residency and day of the week; Fridays after 4:00 p.m., Saturdays,
Sundays, and holidays are "prime-time" and charged accordingly.
Base fees range
from $300 to $325, which include the use of the kitchen facilities. A Park Department
security officer is required if alcoholic beverages are served at the event. Click here to register...
