Baseball (Youth Sports)
ATTENTION ALL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PARENTS
Our age guidelines are determined by National
Standards through the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth organizations. Therefore, we ask
that you register your player in the division in which they fall by their
birthday. Please note that certain levels of baseball and softball will require
a mandatory evaluation. Keeping our players safe is our number one priority. If
you feel that your player may not be ready for the next level, or maybe just the
opposite, we will deal with those individuals on a case-by-case basis when the
time comes.
NOTICE FOR ALL BABE RUTH BASEBALL AND
BABE RUTH SOFTBALL COACHES
Beginning with the 2008 season, Babe Ruth
has required certification for all coaches. This is only available online at www.BabeRuthCoaching.org.
There is a cost associated with the certification, which is valid for as long as
you coach. If you haven’t already visited the site to get your certification, do
it now!
If the registration deadline is past on a particular event,
please contact our office to verify availability or to be put on a waiting list.

hitting, running, throwing, and catching. Volunteer coaches are needed for all
teams; please consider coaching your child's team. Players will advance from

Babe Ruth Baseball
Babe Ruth Baseball (open to 13-15 year olds) builds on what players have learned
in the Valparaiso Baseball League while continuing to develop character values
such as teamwork and good sportsmanship. Fair play will be a major focus
throughout the season, as teams will be facing off against opponents from around
"The Region."
Volunteer coaches are needed for all teams; please consider coaching your
child's team. Please notice the change in age combinations. This is due to other
area leagues following the same format and the need to follow suit.
